This site is good! (1)
Phishing or other scams (2)
Bad shopping experience (1)
Summary: Four reviewers in the last year, one positive, three negative. Of the negatives one was not specific, one had a
billing problem (wanted a refund) and the other just griped that the whole thing was a scam with nothing specific to back it up.
[Altogether not too bad for several thousand clients in a year...]
Additional Information: At the answers.yahoo.com site I found several entries that could be classified as
Internet "chatter" about Paid Surveys Etc. Nothing specific, opinions on paid surveys in general. Saw one comment blaming them for a bad
experience with a survey maker that had been on their list...
Nothing earthshaking or worrisome there...
Survey Sentinel commentary: The commentaries
reported above are generally positive. The three negative user comments have no details and appear to be just general gripes.
Anyone can make a complaint, for any reason.
The most serious negative was McAfee's comment about "one or more misleading claims". There was no date on that; we don't know
when the comment was made or if it has been corrected now.
Looking at their website, it does not seem to be making overly wild or misleading claims now. It is certainly not the worst I have
seen in this regard. Sometimes salesmen get a bit carried away with what they say, but most people can see through this easily enough
as being just "Sales puffery".
Altogether this is a good report. There seems to be nothing significant against Paid Surveys Etc. posted online. And their
current clients are giving them good marks recently, a very positive sign.
We conclude that NO, Top Online Surveys is not a scam, they are O.K. They appear to be the best larger paid
survey site out there.
