"Paid Survey Reviews"are offered by many sites on the Web.
Usually they are talking about one to five
paid survey sites. Rarely do you find meaningful metrics or hard comparative data.
How can you review and compare just one paid survey site? That is like reviewing a horse and, without any comparative data,
saying, "This is a good, fast horse."
How do you know? Fast? Compared to what? A Kentucky thoroughbred that ran in the last Preakness? Or a 15-year
old carriage horse in New York City's Central Park?!?
To review, analyze and compare anything, you can't very well do it in a comparative data vacuum!
The way to thoroughly review, analyze and classify anything is to get a bunch of them together, line them up, compare them, let
them compete, and judge them by the results of that competition.
That is why we periodically look at over 100 paid survey sites, constantly monitor and track about 30 and report to
you on the top 20 only.
Why refund rates?
We put special attention on refund rates because this is a measure of the considered opinions of present and
past clients of each paid survey site. It is an unbiased, informed metric, coming from the people who best ought to know, the ones who
tried it in the past and/or are trying it now.
[Those who chose to demand a refund did so based on having tried it and found it lacking. Those who DID NOT demand a refund have so far found
it acceptable and continue to try it.]
The refund rates of paid survey sites, like the unemployment rate in the U.S., will never go to zero. There is always someone who just found
himself or herself in the wrong place. Some were expecting miracles. Others changed their minds. The base rate seems to be around 3-4%. That is
about as low as these rates ever get.
Anything above that 3-4% base is a direct measure of client discontent and dissatisfaction. The higher the refund rate, the more discontented
was the average client.
Refund rates are a constantly changing metric which can be used to objectively judge which paid survey sites have happy clients and
which paid survey sites have fewer happy and more unhappy ones.
It stands to reason that you would rather join the happy clients of a low refund site than join the unhappy clients of a high refund site!
Now that all of the above is clear, let's look at some Paid Survey
